Building Transparency through Data and Evidence

In modern governance, access to reliable data determines accountability and progress. GRC’s recent publication on “Open Data for Good Governance” shows how public access to information can transform policy decisions and reduce corruption. Our field research found that communities with open budget data had fewer reports of financial mismanagement.

We advocate for a governance culture rooted in evidence and public scrutiny. With digital tools and data dashboards, stakeholders can monitor project implementation, track expenditures, and identify policy gaps in real time.

The GRC team continues to train public officers and civil society groups in data analysis and visualization to strengthen evidence-based governance practices. This initiative is paving the way for a more transparent and responsive public sector.
